Clinical Evidence Sources and Attribution
1. Scope
This page describes how DyZen Med Opinion Intelligence may consult external terminology and clinical-reference sources, and provides attribution and disclaimer language for those sources. It does not apply to Chart Summary, Timeline, Encounter Draft, or Zentelligence analysis documents unless those surfaces separately display citations.
2. Assistive use only
Opinion Intelligence may retrieve advisory references from external literature, trial, drug-labeling, and safety sources. Returned references do not constitute DyZen Med conclusions, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations, and do not replace evaluation by the qualified healthcare professional responsible for the matter.
Case-specific chart evidence takes precedence over external references. Provider availability and returned information may vary.
3. UMLS / UTS terminology (NLM)
When enabled, DyZen Med may use the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) / UTS APIs for terminology normalization and evidence-query expansion within Opinion Intelligence.
- A UMLS terminology match is not clinical evidence and is not itself support for an opinion.
- SNOMED CT and RxNorm identifiers may be obtained through UMLS where available.
- Only minimized clinical concepts are intended to be transmitted; unnecessary patient identifiers and raw chart passages must not be sent.
UMLS content is subject to the National Library of Medicine UMLS Metathesaurus License and applicable source vocabulary terms. DyZen Med does not claim endorsement by NLM or the United States Government.
4. PubMed / NCBI
Literature metadata may be retrieved via NCBI E-utilities / PubMed. NCBI content and services are subject to NCBI Disclaimer and Copyright notices. Abstracts and full articles may be subject to publisher copyright. DyZen Med does not claim endorsement by NCBI or NLM.

5. Europe PMC
Europe PMC metadata may be used for advisory literature references. Article licenses vary; citation of metadata does not grant rights beyond those provided by the source.
6. ClinicalTrials.gov
Public trial registry information may be consulted for certain Opinion Intelligence categories. Listing or citation does not imply endorsement by NIH, NLM, or ClinicalTrials.gov, and does not establish study quality or applicability to a specific case.
7. DailyMed
DailyMed Structured Product Labeling (SPL) information may be consulted for medication-related advisory references. Labeling is published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine; users should verify current labeling for clinical use.
8. openFDA
Drug-label and related openFDA information may be consulted for advisory references. Data provided by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). DyZen Med does not claim FDA endorsement. Availability and completeness of openFDA data may vary.
9. Outbound queries
When clinical-evidence features are used, DyZen Med is designed to transmit only minimized clinical search concepts derived from recommendation context — not unnecessary patient identifiers or raw chart passages. See also Subprocessors and External Data Providers and the Privacy Policy.
